In line with the to be lived in philosophy of the Sandholme Guesthouse B&B accommodation, the guest lounge is the scene for evening gatherings, a warm fire in winter, some wine and cheese, a little conversation and the sharing of the days adventures with new friends. In winter there are two log fires burning to warm the body and soul. Beyond that there is air-conditioning throughout the guesthouse enabling a human atmosphere to be created no matter what the time of year There are more than 40 works of art adorning the walls of the guesthouse, most are originals collected by your Hosts over more than 30 years of married life The Schwechten Boudoir grand piano is another of the family heirlooms for which Sandholme was created. Having a beautiful and warm tone the piano, built in Berlin at the turn of the last century is the centre of a gathering when in the hands of a classically trained pianist.
 
Games Room
Sandholme provides spacious guest areas. The Games Room / Theatre offers a pool table, a spacious area for guests to relax; Chess, Draughts, Backgammon, and Board games are available. The area can convert easily to a surround sound movie Theatre. Sandholme Guesthouse is a place for small groups to enjoy and be at home. A Shoalhaven holiday destination in its own right, Sandholme Guesthouse, offers exclusive bookings for small groups to 10 to 12 people. The Games room offers the challenge of a game of pool, for those seeking more cerebral action there is Chess, Draughts and Backgammon, beyond this there is the tried and true Jig-Saw puzzle, deck of cards and the ubiquitous Snakes and Ladders. Sandholme has a library of more than 200 different titles including a number of B&W favourites, including; Burt Lancaster, Humphrey Bogart, Peter Sellers, Terry Thomas and Boris Karloff.
 
Dining Room
The dining room is normally set for the people staying in the B&B; couples are seated separately to enhance the intimacy of a romantic weekend escape. In circumstances where a group has booked on an ?exclusive? basis we will assist the function by providing lunch or the services of our caterer Breakfast includes continental delights particularly fruits in season and home made jams, these to compliment a hearty Aussie cooked breakfast. An Aussie cooked breakfast includes all the important food groups such as; bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, sausage and hash browns ? just the fuel for a day exploring Jervis Bay The dining room is normally set up for couples, in café style, for small groups we nest the tables. Either way we cook specifically for each guest their selection from our menu. Try the sautéed mushrooms a simple delight BUT a different taste, a speciality of the cook.
 
Outdoor
External to the guesthouse is a wide verandah and bandstand all in close proximity to sculptured gardens. There is ample opportunity to find a secluded corner for quite conversation or a place to read at this weekend retreat. At night the Guesthouse takes on a whole new feel, the verandah lights pray gentle beams of light into all the nooks and rooms in the gardens giving depth and mysteryIn the daylight the guesthouse shines back at the Sun in a manner of bygone days when such mansions were common place and held a position of elegance amongst the cottages of the Village.
