There is nothing that more clearly brings to mind the simple beauty of nature, than a mother with her child. Unless you consider the same image as it relates to a family of whales, mother and calf. During June and July the Humpback whales migrate to the warmer waters of the Pacific to give birth.
From mid September to mid November the whales return to their summer feeding grounds in the Antarctic. Just off Jervis Bay and often times in the Bay itself, you can come across a calf quietly suckling from its mother, only to erupt into action when the calf has decided its time to play. A mother and calf air-borne is something you will find hard to forget.
