Husky Wharf where the Action is

The existing wharf is the second generation of this land mark construction and has always been the centre of action for Huskisson as a coastal village. In the early days the Tuna fleet could be found tied up along side, invariably with the local kids scrambling over the boats scraping off bits of fish to use as bait, (their catch was then sold to the fishermen as bait, the profits spent at the General Store or one of the CafĂ©’s). The Co-Op shed was also on the wharf where the days catch was stored awaiting transport into Nowra, Today the wharf is still a place where kids congregate to fish, cruises come and go and Dive boats assemble their kit.
