With four private guestrooms and sophisticated, communal areas, Sandholme Guesthouse can be enjoyed by either families or booked entirely by groups looking for a fully-equipped south coast holiday home. It’s a perfect and unique alternative to other Jervis Bay holiday houses.

Communal areas

Sandholme Guesthouse offers two spacious guest lounge areas. On the lower level, with access to the sweeping veranda, outdoor bandstand and BBQ, there is a formal lounge – dining room with seating for eight people. There is also a library of books, games and DVDs close by in the hall leading to the kitchen and breakfast area. Access to the sound system and controls for the theatre are also available from the lounge area.

For the cooler months, there’s also a lovely gas fire in both guest lounge areas.

On the mezzanine level, there is a large lounge and games area with seating for ten adults, a wide screen television and a pool table, board games and the surround sound theatre.

These lovely guest facilities can be enjoyed by all staying at Sandholme Guesthouse, families and groups alike. The kitchen and breakfast area also have their own separate toilet facilities.

Outside

Outside Sandholme Guesthouse, you’ll find an external guest en-suite, a BBQ, off-street parking for five cars (four underneath the guesthouse) and a fully-equipped laundry. The bandstand offers a bushland setting for 8 close to the BBQ located just off the veranda.

There is also a garden setting in front of the guesthouse and other seating in sculptured rooms within the garden.

Gardens and Sculptures

Surrounding the Sandholme Guesthouse are stunning, manicured gardens. Enjoy the many Sculptures throughout the garden and count the different bird species that visit regularly, especially the Kookaburra choir. You are completely free to wander through the gardens, and to stop and relax and soak up the fresh air and peace and quiet.

Early in the day, we recommend watching the brilliantly coloured birds as they collect honey and insects from the garden. And as dusk approaches, there’s also a good chance you will see kangaroos, or perhaps our resident possum.

Guest Kitchen

Sandholme has recently installed a brand new kitchen, especially for guests to use during their holiday rental stay.

The ‘all electric’ kitchen facilities are sufficient for the most adventurous of cooks and will facilitate the preparation of substantial meals for families or groups of 8 people.

The kitchen also provides café style tables and chairs particularly for breakfast, with more formal dining being available in the Guest formal lounge – dining area.

As an overview of this all-electric kitchen:

o   White Goods :  oven and separate grill, four hotplates, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge–freezer, espresso machine, toaster and kettle, mixer and blender.

o   Kitchen Utensils:  cooking utensils, pots and pans, trays, baking dishes and bowls, crockery, cutlery and glasses for 10.

o   Condiments and cooking necessities:  Just in case you missed a few items when packing for the holiday:  olive oil, salt and pepper, tea bags, instant coffee, sugar, coffee beans, and more to assist in the preparation of meals. Plus: gladwrap, foil, paper towels and tea towels etc. Also included are the BBQ instruments
